Drilling of the appraisal and
development wells were completed after many delays
by late 2006.
Kharg Island is the key area
of drilling (onshore) and there will also be some
offshore drilling adjacent to the island. IOSC
provides logistics services to the Dorood project
on Kharg Island where it has mobile cranes, pipe-handler,
forklifts, buses and manpower to support the TotalFinaElf
operation. Bushehr takes a less active role in
the Dorood project but is used from time to time.
